What are NFTs

NFTs on IMVU come in two forms. 

• NFT Exclusives are unique, one-of-a-kind items that can only be owned by one person. 
• Limited Edition NFTs are rare, collectible items that can be owned by a set number of people determined by its total quantity. 
• Owning an NFT unlocks an exclusive gold NFT badge and other special benefits.
• Compared to regular products, NFTs on IMVU can be bought and resold with VCOIN. As a Creator, you also earn VCOIN from the initial sale and resale of your NFT products.
• Check out the NFTs on IMVU that have been sold so far in our NFT Marketplace, many of which are made by Creators just like you.

Who Can Participate

• This contest is open to all IMVU Creators. In addition, Creators can apply to our Alpha Tester program, where Creators can test NFT capabilities and other IMVU Studio features before they are introduced to the general IMVU Creator Community. How to Participate

Read the full rules below before submitting, particularly information pertaining to meshes and derivations. 

Complete the submission form by Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:59:59pm Pacific Time. You may edit your submission form to include additional links to your products up to the time of the deadline. 

Creating NFTs on IMVU is similar to making regular products! To participate in this contest, submit your products in the same way you normally submit for the regular IMVU catalog. See additional contest rules below.

• Submissions must be new GA products and be meshed and textured by you; you cannot derive from other Creators’ meshes. The meshes must be owned by you.
• Submissions must be from your own imagination. No copyrighted or branded material is allowed.
• Submissions in IMVU Studio are highly encouraged but not required.
• Submissions must be in one of the categories below. Only clothing and avatar products are allowed. Stickers and badges will not be considered.

• All submissions must be set to visible, non-derivable, non-bundleable, and display only.  Since Creators can’t publish NFTs on their own just yet, submit your products, but DO NOT publish or make your product live for sale. 

Judging Criteria

• Creators can submit multiple submissions, but only one product and its Creator can win either the Grand Prize or Runner-Up Prizes.
• Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:
  • Overall originality of submission (30%);
  • Aesthetic appeal of submission (30%); and
  • Level of Detail and Technical Quality of submission (40%)
• Winners will gain early access to the creating NFT features and the IMVU team will help winners with the publishing process. 
• All other contest participants and Creators will still be able to publish their submission as an NFT and sell their NFT for VCOIN once this feature becomes available to everyone on IMVU in the near future.

Contest Prizes

1 Grand Prize Winner will receive: 

• 50,000 VCOIN ($200 USD)
• Featured in Shop showcase slide linking to your IMVU shop
• Tagline of “NFT Creator Contest” Winner on your winning NFT product
• Featured on IMVU (e.g. Featured Creators, Discover Feed, Messages)
• Featured on IMVU social media channels 

5 Runners-Up will receive:

• 5,000 VCOIN ($20 USD)
• Featured on IMVU (e.g. Featured Creators, Discover Feed, Messages)
• Featured on IMVU social media channels

Open to individuals who, at the time of entry, are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is older). “Sweepstakes Period” is from 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time on May 16th, 2023 to 11:59:59 p.m. PT on July 3rd, 2023. Winners will each receive VCOIN in amounts ranging from 5,000 to 50,000. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. Sweepstakes are subject to Official Rules. Details and restrictions apply; read the Official Rules above. Contest void where prohibited.
