4 Must-Have Holiday Pieces

RED VELVET HI-LO SKIRT

DAY: We love mixing and matching looks, as seen here by adding a moto-style black leather jacket on top of a fun, spin-me-around skirt. Stick to the rule of two. If you chose to toughen up the skirt with a moto jacket, carry that look from head to toe — moto-style boots are always a good option and so is this gorgeous black leather and gold hardware hobo-style tote.

NIGHT: This skirt is full and has a lot going on with the asymmetrical hemline. A fitted top in formal fabrics of your choice (satin, sequin, velvet, or silk) is the best option. We chose an off-the-shoulder, cropped silver satin blouse to accentuate our model’s gorgeous neckline. A tousled low side pony with a matching red flower tops off this look for a fun holiday party. Have some fun with the shoes — glitter is always a good choice, but keep it simple with pumps.

SILVER SPARKLE COCKTAIL DRESS

DAY: This silver sparkle dress says “I’m-taking-this-jacket-off-and-going-out-as soon-as-5-o’clock-comes-around.” It’s a dress with a big statement for a girl that knows how to have FUN. For day, keep it playful and light with a silver star bomber jacket, playful up-do, black booties, and a silver-hardware cross-body black leather bag.

NIGHT: This dress shines and so will the girl wearing it, if you know how to enhance the sparkle rather than dull it down. Less-is-more with a dress like this. Go nuts with the glitter pumps, but pick ONE color to pop with your clutch and match that color to minimal gem accessories. Done and Done.

TIE-WAIST RED BLOUSE

DAY: The basic that is anything, BUT basic. The secret to incorporating a basic item like this red blouse into your outfit is to focus on your silhouette. It’s a simple work-what-you-got strategy to show off your personal style. Our model has luscious red-highlighted locks that fall easily without too much fuss. Her black jeans may be basic, but they hug her curves in all the right places. Since her blouse is cropped, we lengthened her lower body silhouette with some kick ass cranberry stiletto lace-up booties. Simple, effective, sexy.

NIGHT: From basic to glam — easier said than done. Stick to what works — red lipstick, accessories, and pay attention to your silhouette. When you start with a basic top and you’re aiming for the stars with your glamour quotient, go BIG, but take into consideration what your best assets are. Long neck. Luscious lips. To-die-for honey-brown wavy hair. Our advice? WORK IT. Our model has all three of the assets listed above so we did it up with red lips to match her blouse, an easy and romantic updo, and a killer statement choker. On the bottom? A full-length maxi skirt and 4″ stiletto sandals to lengthen even more. Bonus? All eyes will be on that gorgeous face. Remember to SMILE!

FAUX FUR JACKET

DAY: So you got your faux-fur jacket and you think you can only wear it at night? Think again. Every girl deserves her very own (faux) fur jacket to upgrade even the most basic jeans and a t-shirt outfit. Dial up your trend factor by adding a skinny black choker and the queen of dragon’s braids-for-days. Your most comfortable, worn-in black booties will send you on your way in sexy and comfortable style. #flawless

NIGHT: And now your grand finale — your black faux fur jacket is only the beginning, but we’re taking this look all the way to glam central with a princess-worthy chignon, diamond chandelier earrings, your favorite Marilyn-inspired, perfect black cocktail dress, and fierce black pointy-toe pumps. Red carpet ready for any holiday party. Accessorize with the love of your life. 😉
