As you saw on our YouTube channel, IMVU recently partnered with Carmen King, a well known YouTuber for her “badgirl” style, her C-R-A-Z-Y humor, and her influencer status on makeup and beauty. No surprise here since you’ve likely seen her all over our channels these past couple weeks as she found love with her IMVU boyfriend, Wavie. We hope you tuned in to all of their drama, especially if you follow @CarmenKingy on IMVU, but wanted to let you know that we recently heard from Carmen and they are “still going strong”. Do you think it will last?

In true IMVU form, we wanted to share the real Carmen King in this Behind-the-Avatar interview that we recently conducted.

IMVU: How did you get started on IMVU?
CK: I found out about IMVU after looking for a fun, life simulation game to express myself! I would spend hours making sure my avi looked snatched.

IMVU: What do you like about IMVU? Why?
CK: I love being able to express myself through different looks, meet new people, and catch up on fashion trends! I love this because I have met so many great people IRL thanks to IMVU.

IMVU: What’s your favorite thing to do on IMVU?
CK: My favorite thing to do on IMVU is talk to all my fellow thotties! I love being able to connect with my audience and get to know them better in a super lit environment!

IMVU: What do you wish to do more of on IMVU?

CK: I would love to go to more events. Those always have the most fashionable and creative people where you can show off who you are!

IMVU: What prompted you to sign back up again?

CK: I came back to IMVU because I was curious to see how the game had changed and developed. I was so excited to see all of the new features and realistic avatars that have been added in.

IMVU: How did you get started with your YouTube channel, and why?

CK: I started YouTube because I love to make people laugh and encourage others to be themselves. I preach self love and crazy humour and I’m so blessed to have amazing supporters that love what I do!

IMVU: What was your most memorable or favorite moment since starting your YouTube channel?

CK: My favorite moment was definitely hitting 100k subs last year. That number still shocks me and I can’t believe my videos have reached so many people! That was my most emotional and crazy day to date.

IMVU: What advice would you give for people who wanted to start their own channel?

CK: The best advice I could give to somebody is to ignore all the haters and focus on yourself! Never change for anyone.

IMVU: Have you ever had a “Wow, I made it” moment?

CK: I have that moment very often when I read messages from my fans. Everyone is so supportive and loving.

IMVU: How would you describe your style of videos?

CK: My video style is C-R-A-Z-Y! There is definitely a shock factor when you come across me, but I’m the type of person that never holds back and will always try to get the last laugh! My goal is to bring a funnier and more mature side to gaming.

IMVU: What’s been the hardest part of being a YouTube personality/celebrity?

CK: Sometimes it can be hard to maintain a video schedule when you have a crazy life.

IMVU: What would you tell the 16-yo version of yourself?

I would tell 16 year old me to stop being so shy and don’t be afraid to tell that joke sitting at the back of your mind!
