Great news! The All-New IMVU is once again available to 100% of users, VIP and non-VIP members alike! With record numbers of users enjoying the new 3D Chat experience, we’re pleased to have re-enabled access to all.
If you’ve already downloaded the most recent version (415.0), you shouldn’t have to do anything. The next time you log in, you should see the new 3D Chat experience. For those of you who haven’t downloaded the most recent version, just launch the 3D Chat window and a dialog box will come up prompting you to upgrade. Click “Update Now”; that’s it! The All-New 3D Chat will download and install automatically on your computer. Alternatively, you can also download it here.
Our continued priority is to ensure that everyone using the All-New IMVU 3D Chat has a great experience. Since we began our rollout of the All-New 3D Chat, we’ve received feedback from thousands of you, and many of the features you’ve requested are already in the works. In the next few days, we’ll post an update on some of the new features you can expect to see. Until then, click here to get the full scoop on the All-New IMVU.

Thank you for answering my question, though I do have another. Most of the questions asked here have been answered with “we’re working on it, it will come later”, or something of the sort. I’m just curious as to how long this will be? Are we talking a few months, or more like a year? I really don’t know anything about making a game like IMVU so forgive me for being clueless. I would also like to point out that it would be convenient to be able to visit homepages within the 3D chat window, like we can visit the catalog, and maybe have the option to make it fullscreen instead of half-screen like shopping the catalog currently is (or vice versa). Many people have also mentioned this to me, so I’m not alone in this request. For the record, I understand it’s a work in progress, and I love the new IMVU.
@Rainebeau, For the first set of features I listed, we’re talking SOON! For the second list of features that I indicate are coming in the near future, we’re definitely not talking a year, it’s a high priority to get these features out as quickly as possible!
As far as accessing your homepage from within the new 3D Chat, YOU CAN!
If you click “My Profile” from the main menu on the Home Screen, there’s link to your Homepage just below your avatar pic.

hello, i have 2 questions and a “complaint” if u may call it tht.
1) Can i add stuff to my wishlist from the dressing room in the 3D CHAT ROOM?
2) How do i add people without clicking on them, selecting profile and clicking add friend? Say…the person is offline and i remember their avatar name…how d i add him or her?
~~When i go to “CHAT NOW” and choose MALE gender, i tend to get female avatars in the chat. I understand tht some may have marked themselves as male on their profile…but i’ve checked some and they say female…~~ thx

ppl plz add meh in the old imvu ma avtr name cococandel i just turned .
